A couple of months ago, I wrote about Ernst & Young’s “Making it Real” report offering tips on how corporations can move beyond inclusiveness into full integration of LGBT employees. The report grew from an E&Y summer round table with HRC 100 companies.
The current issue of Fortune includes a feature on the queering of corporate America, with a major focus on E&Y as well as other companies including P&G, Kodak and IBM.
The article provides a clear snapshot of companies that “get it.” It also showcases how corporations are coming out of the closet to not only attract LGBT employees but retain them with vital internal and external policies and practices, something that also wins corporate reputation points with LGBT consumers and community supporters.
